my love for adventure, creativity, and deep connection began early.

(ABOUT SYDNEY)

I’ve always been someone who holds onto moments:

Photography, for me, has never been About perfection. . .

IT’S ABOUT

(NOTICING)

I’m Syd. I start every morning with a really good latte, usually made at home, usually with at least one cat on the counter and a dog at my feet. My house is full — a Siamese, an orange tabby, a Shiba Inu, and a Bernese Mountain Dog who has no idea how big he is — and I love every loud, chaotic, soft second of it. I’m the kind of person who feels everything. Like, cry-at-a-stranger’s-video-on-Instagram everything. Walk into a room and absorb the whole energy of it. Feel the weight of a moment before anyone else has named it.

I think that’s why I ended up here, where photography becomes all about these little moments.

About catching the glances no one else sees, and remembering how it felt, not just how it looked. If you’re drawn to photographs that feel like the best kind of déjà vu, you’re in the right place.

Presence

over

perfection.

The experience;

Working with Sydney Rae Media means you’ll never feel stiff, rushed, or unsure of what to do. I’ll guide you through the moments that need a little direction, and step back for the ones that don’t — so everything in between feels completely natural.

Couples who book with us tend to be the kind of people who want to actually be at their wedding - present, relaxed, and unbothered. We move quietly, work intuitively, and show up to every moment like it matters. Because it does.

From the first inquiry to the final gallery delivery, the experience is intentional, personal, and unhurried. You’ll feel taken care of — not managed.

The focus;

Every wedding day looks a little different, and that’s exactly how it should be. I craft each gallery around what holds meaning for you - the people, the energy, and the moments that define it. My focus is on telling your story in a way that feels honest and whole, preserving everything that made your day uniquely yours.

Film has always been at the heart of my process. It invites a slower pace , one that asks for intention, patience, and presence. There’s something beautifully human about it - the softness, the texture, the imperfections that make each frame feel alive. It captures emotion in a way that feels tangible and timeless, transforming fleeting moments into something that lingers.

I shoot a thoughtful mix of medium format and 35mm, usually around 8–12 rolls per wedding. Each roll is used with purpose - some for the quiet, artful scenes and others for the raw, unfiltered moments in between. The combination brings depth and nostalgia to your gallery, creating a balance of editorial elegance and genuine feeling. It’s an essential part of how I see and tell your story.
